HK Disneyland 10K Weekend 2025 - What it's like to run a 10K at HKD

Running a 10K at Hong Kong Disney for the 10th anniversary felt like being a part of the most magical party of all!

Although most of the race felt like it was around the resort vs inside the park, it was cool to run in the park and I am glad I finally got to do a Disney run.

Booking:
I booked on klook. It was a little over $160 USD for the 10K race + entry to Disneyland for a day.

Morning of- the nice thing about staying on property was being able to sleep in and take a shuttle an hour before start time.

At 6 AM it only took 10 min to get to the start line pre-party.

Pre party- there was a lot to see [people had costumes] + I waited about 15-20 min for a photo op. I also bought sunglasses with applepay since I forgot mine at the hotel.

7 AM - start time! It was nice that they thanked everyone involved - including HK Disney legal counsel.

At least 7K of the race was outside the park.

In the park!

Overall thoughts: For those that can't do a half marathon/aren't able to register for runDisney in the states, I thought this race was well organized and felt very international with people flying in from Japan, the Philippines, etc. to participate. There were lots of character pics, even if only a small portion of the race is in the park. I am more inspired to do theme runs in Asia after this experience! (Pokemon?)
