Explorer's Lodge - Disney Hong Kong Hotel Review

If you want to stay on Hong Kong Disney property and don't want to shell half a grand a night for the fanciest option- the Explorer's Lodge can be less than half the price and right next door, and you can still get access to the spa, swimming pools, and eat at the dim sum at the fancy hotel with a short 7 min walk!

Pros:

  • Shuttle to park - can get to park and back in 10-15 minutes
  • Also close uber ride to airport, and not too bad via public transit
  • Theming + activities (scavenger hunt)
  • Friendly cast members!

Cons:

  • Food is Pricey
  • Can be a trek to get to room
  • Also have to pay for toothbrush and razor, but it is a cool souvenir kit at least
Booking:
I booked on the HK Disneyland website - they sometimes have rates up to 35% off and it is also significantly cheaper on weekdays, and in low season.

Check in: I came at 10 AM - my room was not ready til around 2:30 and I got an email. The room key they gave worked, and my bags were also delivered there.

Room:

I booked a little late so I ended up getting 2 double beds, but it was spacious and room was adequate.

Coupons in room:

Floor layout:

TV: Disney commercials + wedding

Meals/Dining areas:

Bar looked cool- I regret not trying a late night chocolate martini but a 10K + day at the park wiped me out!

Activities:

All age scavenger hunt - this was actually somewhat difficult

In conclusion: Staying on property is slightly pricier but very convenient for a day at the parks, and the theming and cast members were all great.
