I attended Pokemon World Championships as a spectator, and it was fun to do pokemon activities for pins and see all the Pokemon photo ops! 

Highlights included: Pin Rally, the Museum, and just seeing all the Pokemon photo ops!

The shopping experience/Pokemon center took an entire hall of the convention center. 

I was scared seeing previous social media videos that it is hectic, and it was a little better organized by the last day. Last day has advantages and disadvantages - some items sold out, while others they were giving away like crazy (i.e. the free pennants). I had a 9:30 am entrance and got in around 9:45. I will make a separate page of Pokemon Center items. 





I saw a IG post that said to take pics before shopping - so that was helpful and true. [delayed our entrance 5-15 min but worth it vs FOMO of not taking pics]

Overall thoughts: 

One day was too short to do absolutely everything, so next time I might try for 3 days. The environment was electric and it is fun to be amongst dedicated fans react to competition and appreciate all the Pokemon things.

Hilton Maldives Amingiri Review – Overwater Bungalow with a private pool

The Hilton Maldives Amingiri opened last year, and if you have Hilton points to spare/free night certificates (get automatic diamond status, an annual free night certificate + $250 annual resort credit if you open the Aspire amex, referral link: here ), or want to go to Maldives and are Hilton Diamond and want to stay in a room with a private pool- this is the stay for you.  Overwater villa #28  Infinite ocean PROS:  Each bungalow is a "standard room" and comes with a private pool  Close to airport - 20 minute speedboat ride was mostly smooth even when it was windy/rainy  Service from the airport was great, as well as getting through airport security Perks for diamond members: breakfast with bubbly, and daily happy hour  CONS: Food is pricey - a pizza or burger is around $38 USD, glass of wine is over $20 USD 12% taxes and 10% service charge on everything  Unclear daily/weekly schedule - phone app didn't match with actual activities offered Level of se...

Hilton Moorea – Overwater Bungalow Review

The Hilton Moorea was one of the coolest hotel experiences in my life: staying in an overwater bungalow and sharing the turquoise ocean backyard with fish, sting rays, and sharks was incredible. While I was fortunate to be upgraded from a land bungalow, we still paid a pretty penny to stay at this property and the Hilton Aspire card helped cover several costs (breakfast, premium wifi, etc.) If you stay, I recommend having at least Hilton gold status (through Amex Platinum or other Hilton Amex card) to maximize covering costs. This Hilton is pricey and not exactly super luxurious, but being in an overwater bungalow for a few days really did feel like paradise.
