The Wailea Beach Resort is basically as close as you can get to White Lotus [Four Seasons Wailea] in Maui with Marriott points. The advantage of this hotel is rooms closer to the beach/ocean, which also comes with more families and children- but another highlight is an adults only infinity pool area.
Pros:
- Location - Wailea has amazing views, and some rooms give you an ocean view
- Adults only infinity pool
- Water slide, option for [complimentary] scuba lesson
Cons:
- Pricey (a lot of points), and upcharge food and drink on resort as expected
- Rooms felt a little dated [especially shower]
- Resort can be confusing to navigate at first
- Spa-pool was an upcharge [along with infinity pool cabanas], only 2 small hot-tubs for entire resort
Booking: Around 380,000 Marriott points for 5 nights - the cash rate would've been 700ish a night. Was considering the AC Wailea for 200,000 less points but it is a lot further walk to the beach.
Arrival:
From Kahului Airport a Lyft ride took a little over half an hour and we arrived a little before noon. The lobby was outdoors and had a great view.
Check-in:
We walked up to the check-in desk, where there was room for maybe 2-4 staff members. We were greeted with a nice POG (Passionfruit orange guava) and Manoa chocolates.
The room wasn't ready yet, but we got keys and were invited to shower and change in the arrival lounge which had a bathroom.
Arrival lounge:

Lunch at KAPA Bar & Grill:
Mai tai and Pina Colada
Chicken nachos at the pool
We ended up doing happy hour at Monkeypod before check-in, but our room was available around 5 pm.
Room: We got an ocean view King room in Building 7.
Turtle gift is supposed to be for the children. (My furbaby sleeps on it).
Pool:
There's several pools, 2-3 areas for families and one dedicated to kids with the water slide, but the most relaxing one without an upcharge is adults only and near the middle of the property.
Beach:
One thing I didn't know was to get a beach chair- you have to get a number from the recreation shack, and then bring it to the person that sets them up at Wailea Beach.
Resort Grounds:
Not super ADA friendly but I guess it is compliant.
Stargazing was the best!
Activities:
Morning yoga was complimentary but a lot of ants on this hill.
Game room/arcade
Gym- but if you want do cardio run along the Wailea Beach path outdoors!
Luau here is a pretty penny
Shopping on Resort grounds:
BFast options- Whale's Tail + Starbucks:
Other recs nearby:
- Wailea beach walk - wish I had done this every morning!
- Take shuttle to Monkeypod
- Gourmet Island Market + shopping mall a short walk
In conclusion: Wailea is much more relaxing compared to bustling Oahu, with options for good food off-resort [some of the best value wise at Gourmet Island market]. The infinity pool is also much more relaxing than the beach for those who want to avoid children. Some people scored decent packages on Costco, and if you can get upgraded to an ocean view room it is definitely worth staying here!
